Rainbow Brite

Rebecca - Here's Rainbow Brite for ya! I can't belive that this was not the first one I thought of. My sis and I actually had a Rainbow Brite costume growing up. My mom sewed us many dress up outfits and Rainbow Brite was complete, puffy sleeves and all! (We also had coordinating Belle, from Beauty and the Beast, ball gowns!) Aren't you jealous! ;)
  • Thumb - Lucky, who is pals with the ColorKid Patty O'Green
  • Index & Pinky - Rainbow Brite's puffy rainbow sleeves
  • Middle - Starlite, her flying horse
  • Ring - Rainbow Brite with her pretty big eyes and star tattoo? Lol
Here we go!
Please leave any questions about colors I used in the comment section.
Too many to list here.
I will add that the green I used is ChG Four Leaf Clover, which you all know is hard to photograph. It shows up as a bluish green when in real life it is a true medium green.

My favorite is the little dude on my thumb! Which do you like the best?

  18. Thank you for posting such a great tutorial! I loved watching Rainbow Bright as a kid. I have two questions for you though. First do you have any tips or pointers on doing them on small nails? I'm going to be trying to do this on my niece's nails when I see her this summer. Second for Rainbow Bright's star I am courious why yellow and not purple as it was in the cartoon?
