China Glaze - In Awe of Amber

I picked this up at Sally's the other day on the clearance rack. $1.99 = score! It's a lovely coppery color. I couldn't find online if it came from a particular collection release or was part of the core line, sorry! I picked it up because of the price, but also because it looks like a delicious fall color.

The formula is quite thin but covered well without streaking. This swatch is 3 coats.

I wanted to capture more of the richness and add a depth of color, so I layered it over chocolate brown. I prefer this look.
Just to show you how it compares to In Awe of Amber by itself.

  1. Hi! To me it seems it's part of the We Adorn You -collection, from fall/winter 2006. I found it out from Google mainly because of the really hideous ad campaign posted on the Polish Addict blog on 2008/05/29. I got some good fun out of it :)

  5. I love it over the brown the best! I wonder if this would be a good stamping polish ?

  7. @Alyssa- it's not good for stamping. I tried, but it's too thin and not pigmented enough to show up on even light colors. Maybe the bottle will thicken with age...

  8. Gorgeous shade. Very autumnal. I like that word, autumnal.
